Ride an elevator
Closing Doors is a first-person atmospheric horror game from collarpill. Despite its short completion time of around four minutes, this indie title brings in a suspenseful experience for players. However, the movement is limited to just interacting with the elevator or moving the camera.
The doors reveal creepy corridors
Closing Doors involves the protagonist riding an elevator, stopping from one floor to another. The player can’t leave the elevator, though, so exploring each of the backrooms-inspired corridors is out of the picture. However, the higher you go, the creepier and darker the floors become.
As such, this is to build suspense and tension for the jumpscare later on. Although the title doesn’t involve exploration or additional gameplay elements commonly found in horror games, its spine-chilling, ominous atmosphere is enough to drive fear into players’ hearts.
Not for everyone
Given its restricted character movement and lack of exploration, Closing Doors is not for every player. However, those who don’t mind a simple gameplay experience will be in for a treat as the title delivers the right amount of suspense to surprise them with a jumpscare.
